A concert of music & readings in anticipation of the Christmas season featuring music by William Byrd, Andrea Gabrieli, Morten Lauridsen, Pierre Villette, Richard Rodney Bennett, Herbert Howells & carols for all to join in.
Tickets are £5, which includes wine and mince pies, and are available at the door or in advance from choir members or on 0113 228 7616. Proceeds are to go to the Martin House Hospice charity. There are two posters to the right for this event, in case you were wondering.
Singing Workshop with Sarah Leonard

Sarah Leonard is one of Britain's most respected and versatile sopranos, with an international reputation. Her wide repertoire includes premieres of much contemporary music. This workshop will cover a range of general vocal techniques, especially relevant to choral singing, and will explore a repertoire of accessible new music (by Joanna Lee, etc) using extended vocal techniques.

Singing for God

Harry Gration, the popular newsreader and anchor-man from BBC T.V's news programme "Look North" will join the Leeds Guild of Singers for a concert in the "Music at St Matthew's" concert series, in Chapel Allerton, Leeds, on March 21st 2009.
Harry will provide the narration for the choir's programme "Singing for God" - an illustrated journey through the History of English Church Music. The programme will feature music by some of the most noted names in the choral repertoire, including Byrd, Gibbons, Purcell, Stanford, Vaughan Williams, Howells and Leighton.
A further attraction will be the performance of the choir's invited organist Nick Seddon.

"Come & Sing" Mozart's C minor Mass
